Hi guys,
Am living in kochi (kerala). i Tried to get this fish been 3yrs. I usually used to bread and make bread with maidha and wheat. But I only got few fish for these three years. Some people advised that try to some other bait. The fisher men know the secrets that type of bait, but they didnt share anyone :cry:. They catching this fish easily from river

I have caught many small Pearl spot. One thing I noticed was the fish nibble the dough bait, than swallowing it whole and it would be hard to get a good strike. Try mixing cotton with the dough and wrap the cotton mixed dough on the hooks. This will make them hold longer to the bait and you would hook more fish.

To be honest, pearl spots in some places are very tricky to catch. So may I say, better than the bait, its the right technique that can catch this fish. If you are using braid, switch to very thin line mono. Also stand with these guys who are catching lots and learn how they deep they present the bait, how they pull, at what times they fish etc. These three things are very crucial with pearlspots. Also sneak in and get some bait from them if you think it is actually different !! Parboiled kappa, maida is what we use.
