Any fisherman worth his salt would have his eyes transfixed on the action happening with a fish breaking the surface right up next to the machaan. But my companion has a distinct look of "deja vu" on his face as he concentrates on his own float.

All the best

Now that is meditation like concentration .

Either your friend is a true angler to his heart or he is a total ignorant soul.

A very nicely captured picture.

Ali. :D

I presume you must have been teasing him all morning with splashes all around his float and so had a frown on his face :)

Hi,

I visted Thailand & took a look at some of the ponds developed into angling hotspots. I have a suggestion. I have read your earlier posts & believe that your pond can be developed into a angling resort. I am sure you will attract the Kolkata gang at least for a fishing holiday. These ponds in Thailand have separate pools for Barra, Snakehead, Red tailed carp, Arapaima, Mekong catfish, Siamese Carp, etc. Thios will be a great boost to the local community also. Your area has a amazing variety of fishes which can be used for breeding & sport. Some varieties can be commercially exploited also. Food (Fish) for thought.
Regards
Cavalier

Its an old thread but I'm glad you think the place is beautiful. The last catch (last week) was an 8 kg. catla(actually weighed) by my companion of the sour countenance! You are all welcome here!

All the best
