Hi Imran,

Most fish in Powai are caught by ground baiting. Earthworms and Atta are great for smaller fishes (1 - 2 kgs). But almost all the big ones - Silver (Big Head)Carp, Rohu, Mirgal and Katla have been caught by ground baiting.

Fishing is always the best when its a different species you are targeting.....in a different water body......different tackle and lures / bait.

What lies beneath the surface is always a mystery.

All at Powai said "it cannot be done"
But Ali & Co with a nod replied
Maybe it cannot, but we won't say so
Until we've tried

So they buckled right in with like-minded kin
Many laughed, but it mattered not a bit
As they tackled the thing that couldn't be done
And they did it

I agree with that 100 percent. Any new method of fishing in powai is totally looked down upon. I once used a plastic floater and noticed everyone looking at me like i was an alien. I landed 20 plus tilapia's with my goli rod that evening.

Way to go guys. Keep up the innovation @ Powai.

Keith
