Hi folks,

I'm off to goa on a four day holiday on the 29th of september.

I'd appreciate any tips on where I can get some fishing. I plan on spinning with plugs using a 11ft predator spinning rod and 60lb powerpro braid.

Bops

Hi Bops,

I have done fishing almost every day ( for a year) in north Goa. There are a lot of places there. The best place in north Goa is near the Aguada Fort.

I have lost a lot of lead weights and broke lines a lot of times. That part is full of rocks.

I used to bring atleast four to six palo fishes (local name and it looks familiar to tilapia but the size is bigger) every day.

As baits we used the mussels and mackerels.

You can go out with a boat also.

Hope you get a lot of fishes there and good luck

Cheers
Apoo

Bops,
There's a guy who takes people out fishing in Goa. Do a search on google, I came across his website months ago.

Don't know about Bops but Familie Bana are on sometime during the Diwali holidays - 20th to 31st October.

Just told the boys about it and their eyes went as round as saucers.

Thanks, Fred! Looking forward to my first bit of sea fishing.
