Greetings all...

Looking for solutions...

1) I have a 40hp mercury out board... the starter is busted :( , and the guy i bought it from in delhi has gone out of bsiness and can't be located... anyone know of any mercury dealers down south where i can get a replacemen starter?

2) I need to pick up 2 more 10 hp outboards... could be a johnson/yamaha... as long as it can be easily serviced in India... know of any dealers?

Appreciate any help/pointers...

Cheers,
IG

Hi Indiangypsy,

My Yamaha outboards are from Pandyan Builders. Be a bit careful when it comes to their delivery date. All of them tend to promise delivery dates they can never keep. Same goes with the above guy.

Otherwise all ok my twin 75's run fine. They're good engines.

The mercury I have is temperamental (Optiumax), not sure where we got the spares from but....

Mighty Marlin.

There is this ad in the latest Auto Car (i think) in which a bloke claims to able to get any part, any make, any vehicle within 15 days. Brings the parts out of Dubai and singapore. I know somebody who used him to get a diff for his Land Cruiser and he wasn't that expensive either. Check it out, it's the issue with the M&M Axe.

Appreciate any suggestions about flushing our outboard engines regularly used in salt water.

Please see Topcats posted subject of "Salty Yamaha 9.9" and my recent response for my current method of flushing.

Anyone with a better / easier way of doing it?
