Post subject: | Alibaug - Need Advice |
Hi Guys - Will be going out to Alibag this weekend. Any good spots to fish? What tackle should I use and what bait or lures? |

At Alibaug I have fished only the fort. The far left corner looked the most promising. Tried bait (prawn) and spoon. Did not land anything big on bait. Got cut on spoon ( Early days of sea fishing - no trace). Lures will also work. There are rock running out visible on low water. You should try Mandwa jetty. Got snapper there on bait (mullet) + bobby cock. There were big barra there. Don't know now with the heavy ferry traffic. Wort a shot early morning (5.30 !) before the place gets crowded. It is a short run from Alibaug. Best of luck and have a great weekend. |
