Is it possible to catch shark from the beaches in Goa or there any boats that go out for them, just wondering for when I visit in March,I know there are plenty on land :)

We've hooked a few unstopables that could have been sharks and I know of at least one very, very big shark having been caught from a boat in an estuary in the north.
Livebaits would have to be the way to go though because the catfish and moray eels will make short work of cut baits.

I have caught a 5 pounnd guitar shak, fished on the bottom with sardine as bait, not big but is was there !!

You can catch some good sharks from the beaches if you have the patience for it. You can also target them from the boat by chumming the area.

Cheers fellas, as patience goes a trip to Goa is certainly the way to go for relaxation, I shall give it a go and post up (hopefully) some pictures when I get back
