When the tide goes out there is no water = Bad for fishing. When the tide comes in then there is water = Good for fishing!

hahahahaah

On a serious note, there are many threads that have discussed this. Please do a search and go through them. I'm sure you'll find what you are looking for.

The tidal movement of water in the estuaries, rocks or beaches bring food for small fishes which in turn attract big fishes.

This is the very basic co-relation between tide and fishing.. :-)

More than tide, watch movement of small fishes and rest assure you can catch a fish in any phase of tide. I know of places where you can only catch a fish in lowest of tide. My self and santosh have seen amazing Ravas action for some hours in a low tide. :o

Regards,

Ali.

The best fishing I had when the tide turns high to low in the morning at about 8.00 to 10.00 Am. Start fishing early morning, when the tide is up enough to bring the bait fish in. Enough light for the predatory fish and not enough for the bait fish to see danger. 20 fish in one hour from 5.30 to 6.30. and nothing after that.
I have also caught fish at noon when the tide was going out, caught 4 barras in 30 mins.

No hard and fast rule here,... be near the water, keep trying and you will catch some fish.

The effects of Tides and Moon on fishishing has been discussed several times in quite some detail on IA, may I suggest using the search engine to check for topics.
