Lost a red head lure on the first cast on Friday morning. I was unlucky as I had forgotten to unlock the drag and the lure snapped off. Decided to come back on Sunday morning after purchasing yet another lure. Reached the spot at 6.30 in the moring. On the third cast felt like lure hit some thing. Then suddenly there was a splash on the surface, it was a barracuda after a few minutes of struggle it gave in, felt like I had my revenge for the lost lure. It weighed around 2 kgs.

Hi Friend,

Good fish. Start using shock leader. For me, I would love to loose one lure if it gives me one such fish in return..

Regards,

Ali.

Hey mate.

Good catch there. Congrats. Where in Ajman do you fish? Remember if you hook a barracuda there are more down there and they are sure to strike again. They move in shoals and are predatory fish. i remember of that day when i was with Keyur @ dubai marina and we got fed up of hooking the barracudas. We got quite a many of them within a span of 20 mins or so. I am planning to fish the waters of ajman this weekend. Hope it materializes.

Cheers
DeZZ

Hey mate
thats true that they move in shoals but as far as i know that only during morning time they move in a shoal...as night falls they disperse and hunt individually....
