Been a while since I did some fishing. But the fall came calling as Striped Bass pass through the beautiful shore of New England. Me and Binu did a 3 day trip to Cape Cod and fished under the moon. Binu did very well on this trip and landed 8 stripers. I caught about 5 or 6 stripers.

Fishing sucked this time and to add to the bad news, I did the mistake of making the trip on a new moon tide. The current was too strong for us to jig from the rocks. So we stuck ourselves to plugging. Almost all the fish were caught on 3" and 4" storm shad in white .... that fluoro thing really works. Overall the trip was good.

Here are a few pics from our trip ....

Great fishing mate. I love them stripers. Had the opportunity to get at hem once at Rockport and what a fight they put up.

Here's a great site for some insightful info on Rock bass.

My parents were down there recently with my brother and his wifes side of the family. They normally rent a couple of bungalows there for a week or so every year.

My Bro is a keen fisherman, but just had a baby girl so no could do, he has been bassfishing in the lake there but has not fished for stripers at Cape Cod, said he will do this the next time he is there.

Thanks for the comment friends.
Cape cod is a beautiful place and a great place to fish.

I am planning to head there next week and hoping to land some big girls.
The current shouldn't be as fast next week as the moon is in the quarters.

Cheers, Maruthu
