Hi folks, these pictures are from a beach fishing trip in Madras that a couple of friends and I made a few years ago. It was my first sea fishing trip and we were quite lucky. The Jack was caught using a plug and the ray was landed on sliced mullet. The Ray was caught and landed by my friend Arjun. I was using my 11 ft Predator rod with a shimano baitrunner and 60lb powerpro braid.

The location is in front of the Taj Fishermans Cove resort at Kovalam.

Bopanna,

I am not able to view those pictures.
Can you please tell when and from which beach they were caught.

Thanks,
LF

One of the members has been deleting images in the IndianAngler photobucket account and hasn't been forthcoming enough to own up.

I'm closing the photobucket account to prevent other pictures in other posts from being deleted as well.

To post images from now on please use your own free photobucket account available at www.photobucket.com or use the easy to use ImageShack toolbar available when making a new post or posting a reply.

Take a look at the important announcements forum for more info.

Thanks for sharing the pics. Thats an amazing trevally that I always loved to catch. I fish the same beach using tins and have caught nothing in the past few month since I started. Can you please tell what plug it was (type, size and colour).

Any input on catching that monster from the beach will be of great help.

Thanks,
LF
