hozefaishaqali,

There are some fish that come in during winter. But if the weather is fine for you to be there and make a few casts, I would suggest you to fish.
Atleast there are some chance to catch fish being in the beach than sitting at home.

Also, the water temperature need not be as cold as we may thing as there are other factors that drive this.
One thing I can suggest is to use bait in winter based on what bait is working in that area.

Maruthu

i agree with u that there is no point in sitting at home......
im not aware of the sea conditions over here and yesterday when i went fishing it was very very windy and cold.......
and temperature is supposed to go down to 2-3 degrees in december..........
i was planning for spinning and fly fishing but then looking at the conditions i decided to do bottom fishing and there was no luck.......
lets see what can i do next week........ i will try spinning if weather conditions are good and will try my luck.......

i will try bait casting as well..................
one question???????????????

can anyone post a picture how to hook a bait fish.......
i use two hooks..... one from the back of the neck (spine) and other one on the tail side........
i hope tats the right way...............
if anyone can post a picture of how to hook a bail fish will be very very helpful..........
regards
hozefa.

I am not a salty, but at the river we hook the bait fish just below the dorsal fin. Note the bait fish has to be very fresh. Use live bait hooks, they come with shorter shanks and offset points. Owner AKI Twist 3X or similar hooks are great with baitfish.
Some may advocate using cut bait pieces, but i think trebel hooks work better in this case.

we catch this small fishes directly from the shore and then use them as live bait...........
one more thing these fishes are so sterdy that they remain alive for as long as an hour even after they are hooked......
i got a couple of trebel with me and i have not used them till now.....

i will try to get live bait hooks (language is a problem)........

regards
hozefa.
