Hi Bobbers.

I moved to baitcasters last year and do not use the above any longer.

Kept a few spinning rigs for the kids and guests and decided to use the proceeds from the above to feed my .30-06 or whatever takes my fancy.

Did the murrel oblige yesterday?

Rustam

Guys,

The KIX Freams 4000 Daiwa is my workhorse spinning reel now. I have caught loads of fishes on it in Saltwater, even trolled with it. It has fallen square on the bail arm from the top of an Innova with force and it still works like a charm.

If I was Rustom I would keep it. However if he wants to sell it then someone please take it. It is a reel worth having.

Use it with braid.

Bobby

Thanks Bobby. Freeams Kix withdrawn from sale.

Never did like the idea of getting rid of it. Do you think it would pair well with the Cabelas boat rod or should I let it go?

Hi Rustam,

It is more of a Spinning Reel, but I have trolled with it and caught some good fish trolling. I am sure you can find a boat rod to match it with.

Regards,

Bobby

Hi Bobby,

I have a Thai made Freams 4500 (not the J or Kix). Picked it from a Daiwa store in Taiwan.

What difference does it have compared to the J or Kix??

Bobby, I think you misunderstood. I already have a boat rod (the one on sale on this thread). I would like to know if this particular rod would be suitable for use with the 4000 Kix?

What rod do you usually use with yours?

Rustam

Yes you can use that Rod with the reel.

I use a G-Loomis Custom built rod with this reel for spinning.
