Hey, can any one tell me about this disclaimer on my UglyStik.

"WARNING: This product contains a chemical known to the State of California to cause cancer and birth defects and other reproductive harm."

The "reproductive harm" means that you should not be fluffing around with them.

Stay away from these kind of things. Cal has the toughest environmental laws so they must have figured out something. Also these are the products that are polluting our rivers.

The birht defects - " You should not try and fluff with it "

Fibre glass or carbon graphite......they could both kill you if the molecular structure is altered.
Use it for the reason it was intended & nothing will go wrong. If you still doubt that....there are many people here your would like to take care of you, protect you & take the fall for you......just hand over your rod to them. They will be only too happy to suffer for you.

Hi..
That may be a statutory warning..and nothing more than that..The rod manufacturer wants to be better be safe than repent later, in case some one slaps a law suit later accusing that the the ugly stick usage landed him with cancer.

I am using ugly stick from 1998..and its safe..

In case you want to ditch your Ugly stick, I am ready to be the guardian for that..

Just don't worry..go ahead and use it..thats a lovely one..

Regards

Arokiaraj.

A warning to watch out for lightning is more apt for a graphite rod guys.

Ask Bops and Bobby both have had the frights fishing in the rain.
