Thanks for welcoming me aboard...hopefully I should will be able to talk so serious stuff here . On a recent trip of mine to the Dudhwa national park ( north UP) I came across a river where I found a lot of dead fish floating...On further inquires I got to they had been dynamited....That's a regular prcedure there by the local villagers...I fail to understand what purpose does dynamiting serve and why would some body resort to such extremes ...Thsi is just the film maker in me who is curious and trying to see if i could do something about it ...

adieu,

Sumit ...

Dear Sumit,

As a film maker, you could consider making a documentary about illegal fishing and how it is negatively affecting the environment and ecology, also point out the benefits of angling and how much anglers contribute to the environment through their observations and practice. Also how beneficial angling is from an economic standpoint, generating foreign revenue through tourism and eco tourism, how the gonvernment needs to encourage Angling and reap benefits from the Billion dollar industry it is, using our own natural resources like the coastline and rivers through our “green” concepts which is in anyway for the greater good.

Regards,

Bobby

Welcome to the IA,what you saw is bad, but happens all over with the local fisheries knowledge. An honest fisherman like the forum members very often are refused fishing licences, but illegial fishing goes on without any thought to restocking.A documentary on the ill effects of illegial fishing will be great.
