Hi Freddie,

I am visiting the site every day. I was just not posting anything since you all are posting so many nice pics and topics. I am leaving for Nameri now. Will try out my rods and reels there if I get the permit. Will post pics after I reach home.

I will try to play holi with the fishes in Nameri.

Cheers,
Apoo

Hi! Binu the aay gavin is on the trend today you better post your picture, or else you will find his toungue hanging out. Welcome and dont mind these young fo(r)lks. In Bangy it always goes, salpa adjust madhi. Sandeep good idea for your gtg at the waterside, will, definately draw more than fifteen people and I am sure there wont be more than four rods in the water. I am sure you will agree, what says, MAYA. Shakun is sure to come and sleep in the tent, never been, closer.

Hey
had gone to Bheemashwari last weekend along with my friends
saw some really Big splashes near the still water bank & when i chkd saw a really huge Murrel Trying to swallow a big Frog, was stuck in its mouth, couldn't swallow nor spit it out,& the frog was fighting for its life.wanted to take a snap of it,but ran out of battery charge,& saw some really weird looking fishes swiming on the surface ,looked liked flying fishes with head of a mudskipper,u guys came across any of such fishes in Kavari. [smilie=happyspin.gif]

Yes they are common on the Kaveri. Big eyes above the waterand swimming in scholls of 5 to 10 in shallow slack water.
They could be mud skippers. You can never catch them on hook and line, so i don't really know what they look like.
Regards
Owen

Yeh Vips! In Kannada they are called NATHE KANNAE MEEN, as their eyes are above water. Asfar as the locals know they do not know what they feed on and catching them by the net they just throw them back.
