Hey Yaj,
Welcome aboard.

The trick about the bad cast theory is that you have to ignore it. Kinda like D. Adams Flying Theory - you can only do it when you aren't trying to do it.

Best of Luck mate

Nothing much Bobster as we fished just 2 sessions , friday afternoon and Saturday morn as i had to be back in Mumbai for work ... some nice Mangrove jacks , couple of Reef Cod , lost a couple of nice Barrmundi .. and some grouper that went back inot the water ...but the icing on the cake was when I was casting a Halco roosta popper from the boat whilst trolling near some rugged coastline and had a GT take the popper in the wave just as it was cresting .. huge flash near the rocks ... and fish on ... gave me a real rush .... and memories of stalking the fish like in the old times at bandstand and Madh ... those were the days .. ive made up my mind that I will stalk the fish instead of just sitting on a boat trolling [smilie=smack.gif]

I completely agree with you about stalking v/s trolling inshore. The satisfaction is completely something else after you hookup and land. Of course you cannot deny Trolling is more productive, I would do it one max 2 days on day on a 5 day trip. However I must say when you hookup into something like that cobia is something that must make it very tempting.

Freddy, have you tried berley in VDurg from the boat? Give it a go mate. I remember we were trolling offshore once and were not getting aything so we had some Bonito onboard that we had taken to rig and troll but they were far too many of them so we chopped them up and started tossing them over and withing half an hour we had some unbelievable action, so much that we got fed up and decided to move to another place.

Too bad with the Barra's mate...would have been nice..

Hey that river Kundalika sounds good ,know any good spots along that river?.
I had been to a resort on that river 2-3 years back, there were plenty of fish there. It was during the monsoons but a guy who worked there told me that he fishes regularly on those waters.Said the water was clear during the winter and you could see the fish clearly and cast for them.
The Karjat spot I'm still checking out will let you know if anything promising turns up.
Yaj.

Actually Doctor's farm was not available that day so we went to Sharma's farm marketed as "River Wild" I think.
Cool I'll call you and we'll plan something. My no: 9867837681

my carpenter is from sutar wadi (near sharma's farm), we will ask his bro-in-law staying there to guide us to the best spot on kundalica river...

Fish in Kundalica:- rohu, catla, tilapia, Murrel.
