Greetings and a warm Hello to Bopanna and everyone at Indian Anglers.
As a way of introduction I am Kiran from Thalaserry(Kerala) and my nick here in this forum is blaupont.
i am new to spin fishing. my tackle is basic.Consists of Shimano HyperLoop 6000FB, 10lb mono (easier to break the line if hook
gets caught in submerged rock) and a 2.1m Telescopic fibreglass spinning rod.(can be backpacked).
The young men at the tackle shop insisted to go for a shimano stick 2 piece rod which
was lot heavier and also helped me choose the line, hooks, sinkers.
The fishes are those that come in from the sea during high tides and river eels. Eels are a noob angler's nightmare including mine.
I wish there was a dehooking device to get the hook out of these razor sharp toothed critters.
The rivers i fish in are mostly slow flowing (salt water fed) rivers.The bait i use is dead bait [squid, shrimps and Matti(salmon)].
