Hi Bopanna and all fellow anglers,
Kudos to Bopanna for starting off a really enthusiastic site totally dedicated to die -hard anglers.
It sure is a pleasure to be a part of this great community and sport.
Iam a tea taster posted in Cochin and love my fishing.I have'nt had as much experience as you great anglers out there but have fished a lot for trout in the Nilgiris,Munnar and Sikkim.
Masheer fishing has been limited to the Anamallais and the Teesta/Rangeet rivers in Sikkim.
Sure would like to start of sharing my experiences and learning from others, hope to start fishing with you all too sometime.
Do touch base whenever any of you are in Cochin. It will be my pleasure to entertain a fellow angler.
cheers,
Praveen

Hi Praveen,

Bag any trout while in Sikkim? I hear there's tons of them in Buddhist dominated areas...
Also, bag any chocolate mahseer while there?
Is the spring fishing for mahseer still as good? I remember 15-20 lbers jumping clear out of the water in March, Singla Bazar area, early 80's. Dad and friends bagged most of them on Abu Tobys in various sizes.
Worth going out these days?

Cheers,

V.
