Welcome to the forum!

Ernakulum is a dream destination for me as I've never been there and have only heard of it! I believe there is this place and please correct me if I'm wrong.... the description of the place there is that there is a big main road. On one side of the road there are fisheries which sell all types of sea food off the shelf at jaw dropping prices like Rs 300 for a giant sized lobster and the other side of the road there are these tapri's/thelawalaas/small cart eateries.... which stock on all the raw material needed to cook and one just has to pick up what they like and go to the other side of the road to get it cooked, After cooking price included I believe its a giant lobster meal for 2 at Rs 400. I've seen this on Discovery not too sure if its true. Do let me know! would love to plan a small vacation to the place.

Regards,

Dear Sree,
Welcome to the forum. As you said correctly, this is a great site for knowledge transfer, especially for a beginer like myself. I am from Ernakulam and had been to good locations like Bhoothatankettu, Kuttampuzha, Pooyamkutty, etc. (My trips were not for fishing, as this a recently found hobby). As Perumbavoor is nearer to these places, you can try them.
Regards,
m_vvarghese

Welcome to IA sree.

You come from the land of backwaters and a superb shore line. A paradise for anglers. Thats where i landed my first fish on hand-lining.

Happy fishing.

Welcome to IA Sree,

The last time I was in Ernakulam, the place was stinking and I dint have the heart or nose to fish there. All said and done.... I saw many dolphins there and that was great. :-)
