Hello,

Am excited to make my first trip to India for business, and will be in Powai. Will have some freetime hopefully on this trip (or a future one) and thought I would check in.

I began fishing more than 4 decades ago, and recently converted to primarily flyfishing since last summer. I am fortunate/unfortunate to travel a great deal for my work, and as a result have had the opportunity to fish around North America, as well as some international locations. I will be bringing 5 and 7 wt gear for both fresh and saltwater for my upcoming Mumbai trip.

Do not think on this upcoming trip I can do more than a day trip given the schedule, and that would likely be Saturday, or possibly a day during the week (perhaps Tuesday or Wednesday).

Very much looking forward to visiting and experiencing India (despite quite a nasty allergy to one of the spices typically used in Indian food one can get in the US, so that should be a bit interesting), and wish all of you tight lines.

Kind regards,

John

PS - Do I require a fishing licence, and if so, can it be acquired online?

Wow, had an amazing time on Powai Lake on Saturday - incredible hospitality, amazing scenery, and a great way to spend a day after almost 24 hours in transit to get to Mumbai. Many thanks to Ali for making the arrangements and his incredible hospitality, and nice to meet Santosh and Allan. Looking forward to my next trip here, and hoping I can carve oout a few days for fishing next time.
