Hello fellow anglers...

i am based out of Gurgaon.. and am looking forward to some fishing trips in an around Delhi - Gurgaon Area.

I have some experience with small catches in seasonal ponds... but nothing compared to what you guys have...

Looking forward to some action..

Regards,

Halo friend,
I am from Gurgaon. Last year we went to Naukuchiya Tal(Near Nainital) with family & we enjoyed too much, because fishing facilities were there. It was May and it was very hot summer. We again went to same place in June and caught 5,6 Mahaseer and Rohu(2 to 3 kg). This year could not go but searching place near around Gurgaon.I heard that there is a lake near Rohtak but I have not any Idea.If anybody know about it than I am requesting, please provide information.
Thanks
JK

There is a lake near Rotak called Tilyar lake. It is close to the Rohtak Zoo. I beleive they had a fish kill a few months ago so I have no idea if it is worth a trip.

If you go please do tell us about the condition of the water.

cheers

I am planing to go to Rohtak Teliyar Lake on Monday ,because somebody was telling that on weekend it is too much crowd and people will disturb you to give you lot of suggestions. If I could go there ,I will inform everybody.

Yup, weekends are a bummer. Not that weekdays are any better. Still if you stay relaxed, ignore the suggestions and don't get provoked into a discussion things will be fine.

Tilyar is actually three round ponds that are connected. The first one is works best under the two trees. The second has what we all call Sam's Place. This lies on the other side and has a lot of elephant as a marker. The third lake has yet to be tapped.

Best of luck
