Im Samir from Gurgaon. Nice to meet you every one. Im almost beginner since I just have done angling 5 days ago at Ram ganga river after 23years.

I enjoyed it though I & my wife caught only 7nos of small mahseers for 4hours.

Since I m japanese origin(Got indian citiznship) I m making blog about indian angling information in japanese so that many japanese angler will come to know about india as one of the major destination for angling in the world.

I would seek your advice about information of angling in India.

River or lake controlled under several departments ? Inter-department rivilary means between which departments basically?

Hello Samir,
Good to see you on here..... Happy fishing always and seeing you're in the north you'll be getting a lot more of Mahaseer and trout fishing I reckon. Here's wishing you loads of fun fishing and next time I'll make sure I'll pass on some mango recipes as well ..... :D :D Here's one to go with your fish ...

Mango Tango Salsa

Preparation: To pit a mango, place it stem side up with the narrow side facing you. Make a vertical lice starting at 1/4" to the right of the stem. Repeat on the other side. Lightly score the flesh of the mango into diamonds. Buckle the skin, pushing the flesh outward so that it resembles a porcupine. Slice off the cubes.
Ingredients:
3 ripe mangoes, pitted and cubed
Juice of one lime
1 tablespoon red onion, minced
1/4 cup fresh cilantro leaves
1/2 jalapeno pepper (optional), seeded and minced
Combine all ingredients. Let stand for 10 minutes. Toss before serving. Serves 6 as a side dish.
Serve with grilled fish, chicken or pork.

Ahhhhh English .... it's a complicated language :D
Be sure to try the recipe though .... you'll find it's really great with grilled fish

Welcome Samir!

Mad about fishing is what we guys are all about... enjoy your fishing around Delhi.... I am hoping to do some serious fishing after the rains and end of the breeding season....

I have recently turned vegetarian so I cannot eat sashimi any more.... but i am happy to see my mates get stuck into a good fillet.

Hey Takaochi-san,

welcome to the forum.. and am sure you going to have a great time on and off the forum..
there are quite a few anglers based out of Delhi and Gurgaon.. a lot of masters like MahseerKen ( who we are planning to re-christen MurralKen), Vikram Bora (heir to the Toitle throne and will be, one day, known as the great Toitle Bora), Samsondhi (also known as Doc.. will go fishing in almost every weather ), then you have V Prashant (will find him on the waters post getting technical clearance from Home Ministry)..

and before the rest get on my case,, i am a crazy sonofagun who wouldnt think twice to strip into my jocks and get into the water to get my fish..

Welcome to the MadHouse, amigo..

tight lines and we'll definitely meet up :D

The rivalery is between the PWD, the forest and the fisheries departments. One or the other creates a problim for both lake and river fishing

Nice to meet you! Thank you for your humorous introduction about people on this forum.

>michaelaga jee

Thank you for your reply! It means we have to face runarouding three departments. Thats terrible!

How about sea fishing? Is there no such complication or permission is not required?

Hello and welcome to IA Samir,

Hopefully you find lots to write in your blog and share all the info with us too... and as a Gurgaon based IA member, i have to warn you that while Gavin seems like a nice fun chap on the forum... pls only meet him in company of other anglers, or else you might regret it... :D :D Other than that i think most of the other folks will be safe to meet !!!
