Hello!

I'm headed to Mumbai and then Bangalore from Feb 24- Mar 3 (2008) with a group of about 45 graduate students from the Owen Graduate School at Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tennessee, USA.

I also work as Director of Marketing for MyOutdoorTV.com - an online television network streaming fishing (& hunting) shows.

I'd like to fish for Masheer (& catch them too!) as well as other species that anyone recommends. Several others in our party are also interested and since fishing is kinda my profession, I've been selected to find out as much as I can!

I look forward to learning from everyone on this forum as our tour date nears! Any and all advice is welcome -- Thanks!!

Welcome aboard Jeff. I'm sure you'll find the information you need on the forum. You will be here at the peak of the mahseer angling season and should be able to get some decent fishing :-)

But in a visit that short you will have to be pretty lucky to get anything sizeable.
Plan early because most places are booked for that time of year.

You are coming to mumbai.. Right. With 45 students.. err...hmmmm. It will be difficult to arrange something for so many persons but if you want you can fish with me for a day or two in powai.

Welcome to the forum!!!!! The Mahseer's are waiting for your hooks ( Hopefully Barbless ) don’t you think group of about 45 graduate students fishing at the same time will reduce the catch ration??? OR IT MAY INCREASE IT!!!!! That will be a wicked feeding frenzy!!!!
