 Post subject: Mepps gets a big murrel

My friend caught this murrel, on mepps, with 17lb stren line on abu rod,
location, never ask.

Ok brother! I forgot to bring the topic of this group of anglers with senior anglers from my circle. Will ask them once they are from their chores! Currently most of the senior anglers in Hyderabad are busy themselves and instead im trying to discover some places in and around Hyderabad, some of the good places are almost dried up this summer.

this is the catch of last week at Nagarjuna Sagar

I am just holding the fish

And here is the Guy Who Caught it ( Yes, I taught him, How to hold fish with Bare hands)

Now Comes the Detail

Rod: 7 feet , Shakespeare Ugly Stik lite
Lure: Mepps Agila Silver 5.0
Line: Trilene 20 Pounds
Time of Catch : 10:00 AM
Accurate Weight of the Catch : 6.2 Kgs (No This fish did not grew at all from Saturday to Monday), I know we can pass this off as atleast 9 to 10 Kgs but this is the accurate weight till last digit.

That is one big murrel!

I think holding murrel in this way might have given you cut mark in your fingers as there are sharp bones under the gill.

No Arish, :idea: Just use your two fingers (index and middle finger) and put at place where Gills join the lower body or abdomen.

Congrats ! It has always been my dream to catch and release a big murrel...by sharing the pics, you guys encourage me into trying harder and harder for my first murrel...:-D
