Hi Guys,

Went again to Ahmedabad for a couple of days .The weather is already changing with a nip in the morning air.Took the usual bike ride with Rahul to murrel country . 6.30 were casting rubber frogs .Between us caught about six in the morning session that lasted a couple of hours. Went again in the evening and caught a few more. Most of the fish were on the smaller side 1 to 2 kg. Only one big Murrel about 3.5 kg. Relasing becomes difficult with the frog bait as the fish hit them with so much aggression and most get hooked in the throat. That left 3 fish in the pot and the rest back to the weeds.
Gujarat back country is so rich in wild life and the topography is so much like the African Bush country. This is a blessed state indeed.

Good fishing jeen. The location and the Blubull in background reminds me of my village.

Congratulation on a good day of fishing.

regards,

Ali.

hi jeen,

you caught some real nice murrel there. Do you get down the slope and fish or from the road? are there any steps there. it looks like a sub canal in one of your pics and would you mind sharing the location? thanks. since you are intrested in wildlife, let me take you on a safari the next time you visit ahmedabad.

regards,

aamir.

Hi Doc,

I am sorry I didnt call you when there. I had no access to the internet and didnt have your number on my phone. Will take your call next time and join you for the Safari. We fished from the road. This canal is about 5 Km into the Kalol road from the ring road (Amli/ Bopal Ring road that heads towards Mehsna). Hope this helps. This is Rahuls No. Call him 9724350577.

Jeen
