They are already established and the FWC has ended the kill request.
You can not be forced to kill any animal. It is however illegal to transport
them alive. If released it has to be where it was caught i.e. like it was
never caught.
Plus south Florida canals have so many exotics that it's like a different
world. We also have a population of featherbacks in a chain of lakes
and Florida also holds the record for Pacu.

The only way to stop it down here would be to ban most aquarium fishes.

Great going Bionic man

Great pics. What were the weights of them buggers.

How would you rate the fight of a snake head.

That is the only species we have here.
The Channa Argus is up north. I am traveling to Virgina
to fish the Potomac river for them next month.
So far I have caught the, Giant, Cobra, & Striped looking
forward to the northern (Argus) snakehead. So far I think the
Giant might be the strongest.

They weight from 2.5-3.5kg. I have yet to break 4kg for the Cobra.
I have caught a 6.8kg Giant.

As far as fight they are one of the best for freshwater fish in Florida
the only other one in the same class is the peacock bass.

Overall it's hard to rank. I have caught some great freshwater species.
Golden Dorado, Wolf Fish, Peacock Bass, Payara, All SA Catfish,
Tigerfish (Africa), Mekong Catfish, and Snakeheads.

I can also tell you I can't wait to catch a Mahseer!!

Well mate, I have never caught a Mahseer, but I have heard from people who have caught all those fish including the Mahseer and it seems like the Mahseer will wipe all of them.

You're in for one hell of a ride.

All the best and let that first Mahseer you land, not turn out to be one of then Lazy Boys...tight lines.
