Hello, I’m from Singapore and the Channas are definately my favourite freshwater quarry.

It’s great that this forum has a dedicate section for the snakeheads and I find your local gem, the Murrel, really intriguing. Hope to have a chance to experience the thrill of catching one someday.

Cheers.

Introducing the more commonly encountered Channas we have over here:

Channa Lucius aka Forest Snakehead, Bujuk Image
Channa Striata aka Chevron Snakehead, Haruan Image
Channa Micropeltes aka Siamese Snakehead, Toman Image

:D

Hi again, Thanks for the replies and encouragement. :D

Aaron - Sorry, I don't quite know what flower snakehead is and the record you're asking, and therefore not able to reply.....sorry.

Aircut64 - I only use artificial baits like soft plastics, hard-body lures, rubber frogs and stuffs. Current passion is pencil lures.:D

Landed these beauties yesterday, and all fishes released to fight another day!!
