I was playing with You Tube today and found this:
http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=JLZXB0E5LsQ

Now this video in made by a guy selling the rigs but a quick internet search shows that the setup in very easy to put togeter once you manage to souce the right elastic (Like one of the fibers from the core of a bungee) and I thought I'd share it because murrel would be an ideal target species with a rig like this. Just cast it out next to some weeds and twitch it. If there's no take, just do a big lift with the rod tip to move the lead in a meter or so and twitch again. Repeat.

I can certanly think of a couple of places in South India where I will be trying this.

Interesting action. A spring of narrow width, may be a good replacement for the elastic.

tight lines

I imagine it'll be a devil to cast with that elastic between the rod and the tip unless you could rig some sort of casting clip that disengages as soon as it hits the water.
I might have a play in the week and try it locally next weekend.

Let us know how it fares, Ken. Thinking of ordering a kit from them.
