Hi All,

After a very long time , I took my family to Bhavani sagar for fishing last Saturday .

Kids were enjoyed the trip even the climate was too hot. I could manage few carps with the spinners and by hand line I caught 4 of the fresh water eels using earth worm as a bait.

Few of the pictures here

Good going Sarvanan, it is always great to spend some time with family beside water. I can see your kids showing great interest in the surrounding. A future anglers indeed.

Ali.

Good one Saravanan,

Awesome kids :) But chief make sure the fresh eels are dead before you give them to your kids. These eels have a deadly weapon (spine) @ the bottom above the stomach. They will inflict a serious damage. The wound causes unbearable pain.

Next time use your landing net to catch small fresh water shrimps which you will find at the roots of the grass or where you see foliage. Use these shrimps on small hooks of size 8-10. You will catch awesome freshwater eels this way.

The place looks good for a family trip.

Cheer and thanks for sharing. Lots of love to your kids.

DeZZ

Hi All,

Thanks for your wishes and advise. Will convey this to my son..........he will be happy.

@Dezz - thanks for your advise and next time I will try with shrimp too for this eels. When I was a small boy 30 years back, we use this small shrimp to catch big eels when we were in Mudumalai wild life sanctuary .

Happy Fishing
