High Tide was at 0900LT yesterday. Dad and self were at our favourite bay at 0845LT. For some reason have always kayaked along the hills on the right of the bay. Saw some local boats casting their nets as also setting a drift net on my favourite side of the bay. Decided to kayak on the left side of the bay which is actually quite similar. Wonder why I kept kayaking on the right side only. Immediately got a strong hit and the next one hour was pure 6wt fly fishing madness. Four fish over a KG each were a treat with a 10pound tippet. Good practise in fighting these fish with the rod and reel for future bigger fish. Earlier had been using a clouser around an inch in size. Decided to catch only the bigger fish and tied a two inch closer before I left for the bay. Some picture below to enjoy!!!...Yes there’s an MJ too
Cheers!!!!
