got the snag proof tourney scum frogs yesterday and tried them out immediately after work today. got a mulley and a murrel. pics of murrel not posted as they were rather gory. these lures rock ! i also missed 3 hook ups.
on a side note the hooks damage the fish badly and they are no longer fit for release.
lets see what i can rustle up in the evening.

Use the spoon i mentioned in my previous posts in murrel section. You can land hundreds of mulley's and murrel.

Cheers

Yup! Scum frogs work.

Try experimenting with them. I have put small pieces of lead in them. This increases the weight for distance and adds to the sound/vibrations they make. Or you could wrap some lead onto the 'backbone' after peel the plastic skin forward. This makes their butts sink a bit (like a real frog) and also makes them splash with the slightest twitch.

remember to balance them in a bucket of water. They only work if they float or swim suspended a few inches below the water.

Best of luck. And keep them coming.

i have caught mulley on poppers and on scum frogs. i also had a few missed strikes on the same scum frog and also caught them on halco night walker.
damn things breach the water during strikes. they also fight better than murrel who tend to chicken out within seconds.

Mulleys hit scum frogs pretty hard. The take is a bit different than a Sols but the fight is as exciting. Unlike Sols/Murrels Mulleys fight till the end. Am trying to find a picture of one. Give me a day.
