Great Catch!! and Greater Release!!!

I only hope you haven't squashed all the eggs the way the fish is held?
I wouldn't dream of having such a big fish as a bait let alone try it, was the bait fish dead?

How to catch a catfish?
Rule #1 Set a catfish to catch a Catfish!

Problem in India you release it today someone will catch it tomorrow. We don't have any proper fishing regulations here is this something we can prevent?

2 wrongs do not make a right :-) at least you do your bit and release it the first time, you never know, someone just like you will catch it the second time and release it again. :-) it will take some time but people are learning.

Well put Bobby. You have to look at Catch and Release in a positive way. however small the percentage of survival is, it is worth it.

Aircut, a Mepps #5 spinner always works.
Spoons are good too.

Great fish! Nice to hear you put that fish back. With small gestures like yours one can always hope to land a Mulley like that [smilie=coolup.gif]

Congratulations on the beauty and a great job releasing it to give you more fish to play with on another day.

If only our waters were more regulated and some proper sport fishing rules followed, fishing in India would be amongst the finest in the world.

If you notice in most places in Thailand and Malaysia, sport fishing is really limited to stocked ponds and fishing in the natural habitat is extremely limited. We are blessed to have good fishing in natural habitats in our country.

People like you Salim, catch and release anglers make me proud and wish someday, we too graduate to quality fishing and not mindless murder.

cheers, and keep up the good work. Many more Mulleys to you.
