Hello All

Anyone using Daiwa Sweepfire 4000B? How good is it? I have a shoestring budget (controlled by better half) and is planning for the next season in UAE. This was recommended by the Daiwa wholesaler (They don't sell it directly) as a value-for-money reel. Cost is approx 100 AED.

Please let me know your expert comments

Thanks in Advance

i have seen the daiwa sweepfire 3500 and used it for freshwater. ok reel but as u said for a shoestring budget, look at the crossfire for one slightly better also u get a spare spool.
i would doubt the longevity in saltwater and when subjected to larger fish.

Rethish,

I picked up a sweepfire 4000 @ 4 years ago. It is still used, but not by me.......It is usually give to newcomers who accompany me. The reel has faced a lot of bashing & is still smooth as butter. The only issue is that the handle is (very) slightly bent. I got mine from the USA, although they do have / had them in Carrefour. All my reels are now from the USA (With a Made in China Sticker)....

I dont think the reel can handle a decent sized fish, but good for light (TP) fishing.

You got a PM.

regards,
Keyur

Get a Shimano Solstace. Good reel for the money.

Bops
