tried this on sunday and it worked wonders with the singara

All you have to do is tie a hair rig and leave a slightly longer hair. Use a nice No 12 hook. Then on the hair tie on another smaller hook. The eye of the smaller hook should just about reach the shank at the bend of the larger hook. Use the smaller hook to put on your worm.

works like a charm.

How about using a think rubber band chop it into inch and a half long segments.

Put your hook through one end.
Super glue the remaining segment with worms, maggots or if surface fishing dog biscuits.

From what I've read it works for UK carp.

YB.

Hi all
another good one is cork balls, or poly balls, u can use superglue to attach almost anything to these & then attach to a hair rig, work great for carp on the surface & popped up of the bottom when ledger fishing, they also absorb scents & flavours, leave them to soak in ur chosen stinky oil overnight or longer, an everlasting bait that really works when the fish are relying on scent to find food.

I've used the polysterene balls from bean bags -multi coloured, soak em in stinky stuff like cod liver oil and Blacang combo ( and Ken wont let me ride in his car! ;) -they float well. Aha, a 2 hook hair, gotta make it tonight! Ta Ken!

Sualeh!!

This one seemed to catch them turtles faster. :D :D :D.

Incidentally the score now is - three trips, no turtles. The curse is over... the turtles over did it and wore it out. But stay mum about it.
