I recently got a shakespear fishing rod from US - it came with a couple of rubber baits which i am not able to figure out -

http://www.cabelas.com/cabelas/en/templ ... hasJS=true

This link has a photo of the bait that I have.
I tried using one in a lake here but without much help - can you please advise about it. where its used, how and if its effective
Thanks

Its a lure, you run a look through the head and use it like a lure..

Probably the best application of these baits in an Indian context would be weedless lure fishing for murrel.
Some rigs are shown here http://www.bootinrayz.com/new/rigs.html

Susheel, This is not superstition-
I keep these rubber worms in a small AIRTIGHT box containing some BLACANG-pronounced blachang- Thai or malay prawn paste, should be available in most biggish super markets.Air tight is imperative, as the paste stinks -no need for tear gas to clear a room! ;) But helps in drawing fish-our heavily hunted swims are full of wise fish who know rubber from the real thing.
Best
Axx
