Hi i am looking for a good knowing angler who can truly explaining about bixa orrelana to use for catla fishing? Some IA tell me on pm ,i can use it to the benemasalla. It is really a good attractor for catla fishing. If anybody don't like to share openly they can pm me .please

Have searched on net regarding bixa orrelana. Best suggestion was to use as powder after grinding the seeds (without frying) to get its full flavor. Frying in vegetable oils or fat was not recommended as it is done to extract mostly the color. I think the best use will be with bene masla but you have to find the correct proportion. Grinding the seeds without frying will also keeps the oil in it intact. For using in hook baits best will be paste after soaking in water.

Dear Krishna Gopal,

Lotcondana (bixa orrelana) is a red color small seed and hard in nature, sorry i have no picture of it now. It is also known as "lal dana" or "rong dana" and usually used for coloring cooked foods especially Ghee. Price is not so high, we are getting at tk 200 per kg here.
