I did a research and recently ordered Suffix 832 advanced superline. The price is on the higher side. I strongly recommend this.
I currently have Spiderwire ultacast invisible braid. It had handled the GTs perfectly. The weave on this line is not very tight.
Hope this helps.

I have Suffix 832 advanced superline braid : 20 lbs and 30lbs.

Both works fine. But the cost is little bit high.

Thanks,
Deb

I would follow Venkys advice, or another option would be power pro. If i'm fishing for jacks I will use thick power pro and have never been let down by this line. Cast well, sinks nicely and I have very few issues with twist/wind knots...

Of course the braid can still be cut on the rocks but that is the same with any line you choose....

All the best, Scott

in general, braid or pe lines comes in 4 or 8 strands. 8 strand is thinner and smoother than 4, hence the price difference. being thinner and smoother allows further casting.
however, due to its thin and soft nature, 8 strand is not suitable for baitcasters because of potential problems with dig-ins.
so to sum things up, 4 strand for baitcasters, 8 strand for spinning reels.

then there is the material used e.g dyneema, spectra or hybrids ...

IMHO, for Rfds application at the mangrove, I would concur Scott's words on PowerPro (PP)... I have the opinion that PP suits with rugged environment as it has a ticker coating and that's the reason PP can be stiffer than other braid (as I'm aware off) which however will go softer as the coating wear off after sometime. I notice the PP coating (and colour) wear-off sooner than other brand. PP’s priced fairly and easy to get in most tackle shops. I use PP on my 100 size shimano baitcaster reel though…
But some ppl who requires a finesse application prefers other softer and smaller diameter braid like Fireline Spiderwire, Tuffline or Suffix Performance (fairly priced)/832 (as mentioned by Venket) to name few.
For my inshore & offshore application, I personal preference is Jerry Brown. A 300yrd 50lb fit to my Avet sx nicely. It’s softer, smaller diameter and I can fix a nice neat FJ or FG knot to a leader. I would also go for Tufline for the same application. 300yards of 30 lb Suffix Performance spooled nicely to my 4000 size Daiwa spinning reel.
This is my personal opinion :) not a review of the product.

Greetings all. Although the sufix is now bought..... I wondered if anyone else out there has discovered 'NANOFIL' ? I've only recently switched over to this for spinning, so am not yet able to present a long-term review, though its described as a 'uni-filament line' , 'beyond braid'. I'm using the size 0.12mm (diam), 6.934Kg, which comes in a 270m length.
Its used for pike, sea trout, and salmon.
First impressions are of the small line diameter for weight. This seems to deliver impressive cast length, particularly with lighter lures. The particular line construction also seems to require certain knots (the line comes with an idiot card). Without thinking I did tie an 'unauthorised' knot on one occasion and the line did actually part, the lure flying off across the river! My fault.
Its not cheap, and only time will tell if its worth it.
Tight lines.

Hi Druridge,

Have yet to discover one. Am now avoiding tackle shop for I would end up buying more ;)
A fine diameter line is mandatory if you are going for small micro lures ie. for finesse lure casting. I would tie a 2ft of mono as a shock leader to avoid a sudden shock\stress that part the line. For knot. If the line is too fine, I would suggest you double the line before applying any line joining knot. Try casting on a dry land to test the knot.

Hope this help.

You're right Shah747, all the recommended knots are tied with the line doubled up. A leader of a few pounds less is a good idea.
All the best.

Mono leader is mandatory as braid has zero memory. Purpose for braid is to have maximum strength of line, matching with the rod and reel with extra line to fill the spool. Extra length from the finer diameter and lighter line is the main issue to achieve distance when lure casting. More often I notice ppl use higher poundage braid on the rod, hence risking 'tranforming' the rod into 'multi pieces' ;)
