Hi, I want to know that which color and size of Rapala Jointed and Rapala Original Floater is good in the river fishing? Is this really killer lure? Here in my place fish size is max 1kg. These are very light lures. So which size will be better?

Western anglers prefer silver and Gold color. But our water condition and environment is different . So can you suggest something...

The general rule in fishing is to "match the hatch".

In other words, the lure should have the same size and colour as the bait that the target fish feeds upon.

Study the river and the fish that you intend to catch, see what they are feeding upon and then try to find the Rapala lure of a similar colour and size.

You may ask locals for this information or open up the stomach of a caught fish and check it's contents, which will reveal what it has been feeding upon.

You are correct that what works for Western anglers may not work in India as they may be targeting an entirely different species of fish such as pike,walleye,bass etc.
