Hi everyone,

I went to the fishing harbour last Sunday and a comercial fisherman who used to fish there most of the time by hand lining said to me that, that day morning a huge Giant Trevally (GT) hit the bait (live shrimp) of his friend and pulled him into the water and dragged him a few yards in the water and finally broke off. Those guys use very thick mono line wrapped in their hands and fish for barramundi with live shrimp. He said it might have been a 20 kilo fish.

I thought I could share this here. That made me more curious about GTs, but the fish are not there when I am fishing :( .

Thanks,
LF

Guys,

I myself have seen big GTs splashing the water in that place. By that time I was not geared up for fishing.

Do you mean the Halco Roosta Poppers?
Okay, I have Gibb's polaris poppers now, which I think are also good for GTs. As it was told that not any specific action are necessary for a Pooper when targeting a GT. I shall try to get some Halco Roosta Poppers once a Big GT spools me :D

Thanks,
LF
