Techniques for Vibe (Vibration lures).
As the name suggests vibe lures are meant to vibrate. They are heavy made of metal or heavy density plastic. Because of their weight they cast a mile.
Example of Vibe lures:
1) DUO tide Vibe
2) Sebile Flat Shad
The five types of retrieves:
1) Straight Retrieve
Retrieve with no action, feel the vibrations. Use different speeds like slow medium or fast.
2) Lift and Fall
Cast the lure and let it sink. Bring the rod in line with the waist and lift it to 2 o clock position, and then bring the rod down to the waist level. Keep retrieving during the whole process.
Tip: Don’t lift the rod too high above 2 o clock position, leave some room to strike if there is a take.
3) Short Jerk
After casting bring the rod to 3 o clock position and give short upward jerks. The jerks should be short and abrupt. The lure slides left to right when the rod comes to stop after the jerking motion.
4) Slow Rolling (Drag the lure on the bottom, use with caution can snag)
Cast and let the lure sink to the bottom, start a very slow retrieve and feel the bottom.
Caution: Do not attempt at rocky bottoms.
5) Ultra high Speed retrieve (Retrieve as fast as you can, suddenly pause give jerk wait and then resume)
Cast and let the lure reach bottom, initiate a fast retrieve, give a sudden pause. Resume fast retrieve pause give a jerk or let the lure fall or pause then commence retrieve. Try different combinations and different lengths of pause but fast retrieve is the key.
Try these out, you will be amazed. They work on all saltwater fish specially Kings, Groupers and Barracudas.
