While trolling & fishing from the beach, i always faced a snagging problem while using 8m deep diver lures, I had inadvertently bought a few years back. After losing many, I was one day taking a look at the Halco Sorcerer lures, when I realised that you could easily remove the plastic deep diver lip by knocking out the plastic locking pin (knock sideways out , 90 degrees to the lure body). Once removed, I replaced this with the 2m shallow diver lip (supplied with the lure) & PRESTO ,I had a 2m shallow diver.
A few pointers, for knocking out the plastic locking pins use a rectangular punch /drift with a blunt end. This is to ensure that the tool being used to knock out the plastic locking pin does not dig into the pin & damage it.
Secondly, at times the replacement lip is too tight & will need a little sanding to push it in.
Regards
Cavalier.
