Hello to veryone,

Anyone tried the Kaneit knot connect heavy leaders ( 40-50 pound mono) to braid (50pound) for surfcasting or spinning.

Its only been around for 12 moths or so, but is getting great reviews, but just want to reconfirm with someone's personal experience.

Yes, I tried it and gave it up as the knot somehow did not hold up well
under tension despite what is said about them.

Have reverted to Albright knot now.

i use what is called the slim beauty.. very similar to the kaniet.. so far i have not had any problem at all. holds up very well for me..

Not tried it but for 40 & 50lb leaders, I know that I can tie a reliable double uni knot with cold hands in the dark so use that.
For really heavy leaders where the nylon is to thick to tie, I use a Sebile Knot - There are some very good youtube tutorials on this.
