Does any angler here has some experience with Sebile Lures ?

I am planning to get the following:

1) Koolie Minnow (I think this will get attention of King macs)
2) Bonga Jerk (Good for Queens and Kings)
3) Acast minnow (No idea what so ever)
4) Flat Shad (May work on Cudas because of the profile and the light reflection)

These buggers are pretty expensive, so would like to have some reviews. There are plenty of videos on Youtube but first hand experience / review of fellow IA anglers is more trustworthy.

Looking forward to your replies.

Tight Lines.

Hi mate,

we had the tail hook ripped from the back of a sebile lure the other day from what seemed to be a pretty average fish. The complete metal eye that sits in the lure was pulled from the plastic. It might have just been a fluke but still it is not very encouraging. Thats my limited experience with these lures and it will be interesting to hear how they go for you. why don't you stick to tried and tested brands?

all the best, Scott,

@kashaif

I had written about Sebile lures in this forum a while back (24 July 2011).

The Flat Shad has caught me snapper when I used it on a recent fishing trip
and I have been impressed enough with this lure to buy a good quantity.

The Koolie Minnows are noted for their deep diving ability, depending on the
plastic bib (lip) size .I understand these can go as deep as 50 ft. or more!

Sebile poppers have been used extensively by charter operators in the Coral
Sea on huge GT's without any problem.

The lures are well made and come rigged with Owner hooks and seem to enjoy a reputation as a premium lure ( their prices do reflect this).

I intend to test out their other models in due course on barra and other
Pelagic species.

Best of Luck Kingfish.

I just got the Koolie Minnow, Acast and Flat Shad.

I will use them extensively over a few weeks and compare their action with the Rapala-Yo Zuris i have. I agree they are considered to be premium lures but even then the prices are on the higher side. Some are being sold for over AED 100 here in Dubai.

I would never buy them if i had to spend from my own pocket, luckily i got an offer i couldn't refuse.
