Thanks Rajat & Santosh would certainly take u guys up on the offer :)

Rajat i have sent you my contact info. when does carp fishing season start? can we fish for them during the rains? dont know too much about carp fishing.. Managed to catch a 5 lb comon carp from Katraj lake when we sneaked in with bamboo rods and about 15 ft of fixed line:) but it was more luck than skill. they didnt allow fishing there as the lake used to be stocked with fish for a fishery :)

no ground bating, just atta covering a hook dangled down from the bund. no fancy rig, boilies, hook suspended....

hope to learn the ropes with this forum

Cheers,

As usual amazing catches, I thought these fish existed only in fairy tales. Amazing place and it is unbelievable that it is in Mumbai. Have only seen fish this big at the fish mongers.
I bow to both of you again.

Regards,

Dev

Santosh,

You are missing a very exciting phase man. The modified floating feeder is giving a very good result. Looks like the quest to catch big silver will be over soon.

I am going to Powai today. Lets see. :-)

Regards,

Ali.

awesome fishing. the last time i visited powai was around six years back. a lot seems to have changed by now. i remember standing near the reception area requesting members to take me as a guest and one of the members took me along. we didnt catch anything but it was fun. i was told that foul hooking was the only method that worked in powai and fish could not be released. a lot has changed thanks to you guys. keep up the good work :D :D

Is there any photographic evidence of that 42kg rohu? it is known that the maximum peak weight a rohu can attain is 45kg. Would be surprised to see the pic of this 42kg beauty...

Here is the pic of one monster catla from Pakistan, weight unknown, looking at the pic will prove that giant monster did exist and its the dream of every anglers to land such giant monsters...
