Recently, I was reading a spinning reel review in Bass Pro Shops wherein a reviewer commented that he liked his Pflueger President but hated how it handled line twist. The same person was all praise for Shimano Sustain FE on how well it handled line twist.

What is line twist and are reel brands different in the way they handle it?

There would be not much difference between 2 reels of same spool size and same gear ratio of whatever brand it may be.

Problem arises when the spool size is low and the gear ratio is higher. Also a reel with smaller spool size of any model would be more prone to line twist than a reel with larger spool size.

I was reading about an article which mentioned It is very important to take care of the correct side of the the line reel when spooling from it to your fishing reel when it comes to a spinning reel with smaller spool size, whereas it hardly matters which side of line reel is facing you when you are reeling the line in a spinning reel with larger spool size.

As for Pflueger President model 6725 with line capacity 115yds/4lb would be more prone to line twist than Shimano Sustain 2500FE Reel with capacity 200yds/6lb as the spool size is larger with Shimano. However a Pflueger President model 6750 with line capacity 220yds/14lb would be better than Shimano Sustain 2500FE capacity 200yds/6lb

Thanks a lot for the details, Christopher.
