Hi Every one
Next week I am visiting Mithapur in Gujarat, I plan to do some gr8 fishing out there for 2 days next weekend.
As i have never done much of sea fishing ever except for in goa with lures please guide me. which technique can I use to get some fish

A few details on the location
Type: Beach - Rocky - some small rocks all over the palce on the beach
Water: Clear

Last time i casted some lures ended up losing some as they got stuck in rocks. and when went close to jetty i onl;y had yellow tails on red head plugs but the water near the jetty is bad full of oil and coal dust.

I need your advise on what method to apply Bait / Spining
If bait then what as an bait and what time?

I can mamnage Squids/ shrimps and fish fro bait, Kindly let me know what kind of setup should I use.

If spining which kind of lures and luine to use?

I also plan to get a boat that can take me maximum 300 mrs from the shore as due to coast guard ristrictions.
My house is just 150 mts from the sea.

Pls PM as i have limited acess to other websites.

I supose I can't post my number here.

Looking forward to your responses.
Cheers!!!
Mayur

Hi Mayur,

If there is oil near jetty, then do not try that location at all.

If you go in a boat and if the water is good, then try Trolling (Slow speed of the boat). For trolling use Rapala Red Head or Fire Tiger lures. You can use dip Diver lures also.

Best of Luck and Tight Line!

size 4/5 hooks, live shrimp hook below top of head and bring tip out from top to keep shrimp alive, light weight and cast just beyond some rocks where there's a trough. Might get you a decent barramundi.

If you can wade out and sit on the rock and cast just a few feet from it all the better. Best with an incomming tide.
