Any pics..?

If I am correct in visualizing the place based on the description given by you, you can try your 10 ft rod paired with 5500 reel and use plugs like the redhead & firetiger. The canals (small tidal inlets) should have mangrove Jacks.

Bait fishing will also give results, mostly catfish.

I will agree with Santosh regarding your tackle.

Hi Myursud,

Jesus H Christ!! Mayur you are probably on the best stretch of shore fishing in the whole of India! The canals are full of groupers from 3 to 10 kg use a red head rapala. Ask around for Poshitra. Poshitra is a oyster studded beach about 10 km from Mithapur. Here use a big hook, Fillet of Whole Mackrel or Half a Mullet . Use a slider rig cast out and wait till you get a strike ,even if it takes an hour dont ever try to reel the terminal back if do it you will get stuck , guranteed. Its the fish that will swallow your bait and take it out of the corral. Shivrajpur is another location go to these places during in coming high tide. Shivraj pur and Pochitra can get you hooked on to some serious fish . Hold on to your rod. This is no Joke. You can hook 6 foot Barracudas, Rock cods up to 20 kg, 4 to 6 kg croakers , Barramundi, King fish All Big!
I have done my best sea fishing there as a guest of a friend of mine working in the Tata Chemicals. Buy all your bait in the fish market. The fish you see in the market will drive you up the Wall!
