hi guys,
im new on this forum that i found extreemly helpful and lively. Thanks to all of you and continue to keep it that way.
i still dont have any tackle but will buy one soon wid all the required accesories .
i live in udipi pretty close to malpe beach and harbor but honestly i havent seen anyone fishing here besides commercial fishing ofcorse.
have any of you guys ever tried your hand this part of the world and if yes what has your experience been..??
the fisherfolk in the harbor at malpe are not a friendly lot and can get violent if they see you as a threat.
The other option is beach fishing. Can anyone tell me if i can fish on the beach at malpe and hope to land anything..??
i should be up and running in abt a month and a half...
anyway i found this site with some good info for beginners like me. I hope it helps.

much appreciated

Welcome on board, fisheye. Hope you find the info you are looking for.

I know for sure that panambur harbour is a good spot for plug fishing. Mangrove jack, grouper etc.

I have heard of threadfin runs at malpe though I don't have more detailed info.

Cheers
Bopanna

Hey have a look into this link. I have seen some Aussie in Goa using this method. It will definitely give you the distance you need for beach casting.
