I am searching for a monofilament in the 25 and 30 lb breaking strength class whose abrasion resistance is equal to or better than 40 lb Berkley Trilene Big Game.

The line should also be easy to cast, have a high knot strength and not suffer from too much memory.

Has anyone used Berkley Trilene XT Extra Tough? If so, I would value your opinion on this line.

Thanks.

Rustam

1. Maxima Chameleon
2. GAMMA High Performance Co-Polymer Line
3. Stren Original Line/LoVis Green

Don't waste your time with anything other than these :-)

Try Platypus. Never had reason to complain. Platypus Pre Test, Platinum and braid are what I would recommend.

Bops, are those recommendations in order of preference and do they fulfill all my requirements?

Ken, I am only looking at mono as I cannot use braid in certain areas.

Thanks.
